Welcome to Cadenza Classical
A Home for Deep Discussion and Exploration
I hold a deep belief that music is one of the most powerful ways to explore what it means to be human. Our music reflects our history, culture, emotions, triumphs, and struggles. It carries stories of people, cultures, and ideas that stretch across time and space.
At Cadenza, we gather in various ways to explore these connections through deep discussion, curiosity, and community. Whether in our in-person Cadenza Conversation symposiums or through Cadenza Circle, we approach music not just as an art form but as a lens through which we understand ourselves and the world around us.
This Substack is an extension of that mission.
Here, you’ll find musings, reflections, and ideas that deserve more space than a quick social media post. Some will emerge from my preparation for symposiums, while others will stem from spontaneous questions that arise in conversation. Some will explore history, philosophy, or cultural context. Others might simply be open-ended reflections - an invitation to think more deeply about something that caught my attention.
You’ll also find content that connects to our live discussions, whether from our full symposiums or our virtual Cadenza Circle gatherings. If a conversation sparks a new idea, this will be a place to expand on it.
I’m so grateful you’re here, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
